Emerging Technology: WiGig Alliance Executive Summit to be held on June 5, 2012 at Computex in Taipei, Taiwan.
WiGig, the 60 GHz, super-high-speed wireless technology, is emerging as the standard to link PC, tablets, smart phones, handheld gadgets, peripherals, displays and other devices together seamlessly at home and in the office. The WiGig Alliance was formed in 2008 and has not only grown its membership but also reached many important technical milestones. Today, WiGig has an impressive list of members representing the industry’s top systems, chipmakers and consumer electronics manufacturers from around the world. As a demonstration of multi-vendor interoperability, the first WiGig plugfest was successfully conducted in October, 2011. A new WiGig Taiwan office was opened on April 3. Following these achievements, Press, OEMs and ODMs continue to inquire about WiGig Alliance and product availability by our members companies.
At this WiGig Summit, Ali Sadri, Chairman and President of WiGig Alliance will kick off the event with an opening keynote. Executive representatives from Broadcom, Intel, Panasonic, Qualcomm and Wilocity will take part in a panel discussion to share their visions of WiGig. This is a platform for the speakers and local businesses to connect, explore and collaborate on new opportunities. Don’t miss this opportunity to find out how the up-and-coming 60 GHz wireless technology will change the future!
